 recently announced the release of safety bulletin: CGA SB- 39, Potential
 Hazards of Quick Opening Cylinder Valves used with Firefighting Gases 
(EIGA SA-08).

This safety bulletin outlines the potential hazards when 
filling and handling gas cylinders fitted with quick opening valves used
 with carbon dioxide or gas mixtures for firefighting systems.



 This safety bulletin is crucial for companies fitting or marketing fire 
fighting systems that use cylinders of fire suppressant gases, and gas 
companies filling such cylinders as well as cylinder valve manufacturers
 who make the valves for gas cylinders fitted with quick opening valves.
