In September, Larry Huget, ESCO's President and COO, announced the promotion of Cal Collins to President of ESCO's Engineered Products Group. According to Huget, "with this promotion, Cal will now have full responsibility for all global sales, marketing, engineering and operation groups, which will strengthen the strategic focus and deployment of resources critical to ESCO's global growth strategies." Reporting to Collins will be three group vice presidents: Pat Fonner, Jeff Kershaw and Jon Owens.
Collins most recently served as the company's group vice president, engineered products, North American Operations. He has also served as ESCO's VP of administration and as corporate secretary and general counsel.
Collins began his ESCO career in 1977 as a flogger and a grinder before entering college. He received his BA from Brigham Young University in 1983 and his law degree from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1986. Collins returned to ESCO in 2000. In 2007, he transitioned from his corporate role as General Counsel and VP of Administration into his current operational role with ESCO.
