Reducing charger size and cost PDF Print E-mail
Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX17005/ MAX17006/ MAX17015 battery-charger IC series. Designed to operate at a 1.2MHz switching frequency, they allow use of a smaller output filter than other battery-charger ICs. They also provide analog output that is proportional to the adapter current, and all provide at least 4A of charge current overvoltage protection. Suggested uses include notebook computers, tablet PCs, and portable devices with rechargeable batteries.
