Riveting story PDF Print E-mail
Written by REM
Alcoa Fastening Systems introduced the Marson-brand HP-3, a multi-functional, hand-rivet tool. Designed with the professional user in mind, the HP-3's long, ergonomically shaped handles provide increased leverage during each pull and for increased efficiency-the handle's spring-loaded action holds the rivet in the nosepiece regardless of the tool's positioning, says the company. The HP-3 comes standard with four nosepieces capable of setting 3/32-, 1/8-, 5/32-, and 3/16-inch blind rivets in all alloys. Drop-forged steel handles, a heat-treated, aluminum body with steel insert, and powder coat finish add to the HP-3's durability, say the company.
