SD100 IEEE841 electric motor PDF Print E-mail
Written by REM Staff
The SD100 IEEE841 electric motor from Siemens is a low-vibration, NEMA Premium motor for severe-duty applications, such as pumps, blowers and fans. Siemens says it’s a completely new motor design for 125 - 400 hp, 3,600 rpm applications. The motor is built to yield vibration limits below the very strict requirements of the IEEE 841 standard, especially at 120 Hz levels. This offers a more reliable motor to users in process industries (oil and gas, petro-chemical, paper, utilities).

Coupled with NEMA Premium or better efficiencies, protective InproSeal bearing isolators on both the drive and opposite drive end of the motor, embossed stainless steel nameplate, oversized terminal box, and all cast iron construction, this motor offers users a lower total cost of ownership over previous designs.
