CORRE announces mobilization of its ARES I facility PDF Print E-mail
Written by Newswire
TORONTO, ON — Canadian Oil Recovery and Remediation Enterprises Ltd. has mobilized and fully assembled its Advanced Recovery Equipment Systems (ARES) I facility at an oil waste management site located in the Shuaiba Industrial Area of Southern Kuwait. As CORRE previously reported on December 24th, 2009, it will begin testing its ARES I facility, designed to clean and treat oily sludge and heavy oil contaminated soil, to optimize its continuous 20 tons per hour processing capabilities.

Commissioning of the ARES I facility is nearly complete with testing on local oil contaminated soil and sludge expected to begin by approximately March 16th, says the company.

As CORRE, through its previously announced SAR CORRE MENA (SCM) operating partnership, finalizes its preparations for upcoming commercial remediation contracts, this testing provides SCM with a significant competitive bidding advantage.

On March 25th, CORRE has been invited to participate in a forum hosted by the Kuwait National Focal Point (KNFP) and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to present the Company's oil remediation technologies. KNFP is the central committee to supervise the implementation of environmental remediation projects in Kuwait. Following the forum and when optimization of the ARES I facility is complete, CORRE plans to invite KNFP and KOC to its testing site. KNFP and KOC will work in conjunction with the United Nations Compensation Committee to award contracts for the Kuwait Oil Lakes clean up.

CORRE is a Canadian company that uses its proprietary Advanced Recovery Equipment Systems (ARES) platform for oil recovery and remediation. As part of ARES, CORRE owns exclusive licenses to use innovative technologies and processes for oil recovery, sludge and drill cuttings treatment and remediation of oil contaminated sites. CORRE plans to deploy ARES in the oil producing countries of the Middle East and other regions where there is substantial demand for its oil recovery and remediation services.

With its new strategic partnerships with multi national oil services companies, CORRE has significantly expanded its line of oil services across the Middle East and North Africa to include waste management, oil storage and oil tankers tank cleaning and water treatment. This will provide CORRE with a competitive advantage in bidding for major contracts in these regions.
