Sandvik will be launching the next generation haul trucks in 2011 to replace the well known T40D and the T50D.
The new models will be known as the TH540 and the TH550. While they may appear very similar in appearance to their predecessors, they have benefitted from a redesign of their electrical and hydraulic systems. From the VCM (Vehicle Control Management system), to the improved hydraulic systems, the improvements will translate into superior reliability, and better overall performance.
Other benefits include:
- improved safety with ground level maintenance;
- simplified troubleshooting;
- improved cooling system; and
- an independent brake hydraulic system.
The company says these new trucks are sure to establish a new benchmark for underground haul trucks. Click here to read more.
