August 20, 2014 - Schneider Electric launched its Integrated Planning and Optimization Solution at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) 2014 Convention in Vancouver (May 11 - 14). The technology is designed to provide mining companies with an integrated software solution that manages the entire mining operation from resource to market, said James Balzary, Schneider Electric's GLobal Sales Director - SolveIT Software.
The solution enables mining companies to optimize plans and schedules, identify risks and deviations, pinpoint inefficiency, and present the right information to the right people at the right time. Schneider also reports that the solution can increase mining productivity by up to 20 per cent by helping mining companies use information to drive operational efficiencies.

The Integrated Planning and Optimization Solution utilizes Schneider Electric’s StruxureWare for Mining, Minerals, and Metals (MMM) software, a scalable platform that includes solutions for energy management and asset performance.
