Anton Jelic has been named as Chief Financial Officer by Polaris Infrastructure Inc., a Toronto-based company that deals with operation, acquisition and development of renewable energy projects in Latin America.

"I want to thank Shane for all his efforts over the last three years.  Shane played a critical role in improving the reporting procedures and internal controls, as well as streamlining head office operations since the restructuring in 2015,” said Marc Murnaghan, CEO, Polaris Infrastructure. “The Board of Polaris Infrastructure wishes him all the best in his future endeavours.  Further, we are pleased to welcome Anton, and look forward to his leadership as we fully integrate operations at our recently acquired hydro operations in Peru."

Jelic has broad expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and accounting, and will provide strategic input as Polaris continues on its growth strategy, including the recent expansion into Peru.

Jelic is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) / Certified General Accountant (CGA), and has held senior finance positions, including substantial experience in the renewable energy sector.  He is a graduate of York University in Toronto, Ontario.

Jelic will be taking over for Shane Downey, who has been CFO since 2015 and has in recent weeks facilitated a seamless transition to Jelic.
