Pumps, Pipes & Valves
December 15, 2014 - BJM Pumps announces the release of the new XP-KZN heavy duty submersible explosion proof pumps. The XP-KZN Heavy Duty Submersible Slurry Pumps are specifically designed for tough conditions where explosion-proof, FM, C/US approved (Class I, Division 1, Group C & D) are needed. The XP-KZN features a top discharge, slim-line design with agitator to suspend heavy slurries containing coal, ash, sand, gravel or other abrasive materials.
December 2, 2014 - Conval, a global leader in high-performance valves, offers Clampseal fire-safe globe valves for refining and chemical plants where fire safety is a major concern. The fire-safe valves are available in Y, angle and T-pattern configurations in ½” through 4” sizes, up to ASME 2500 pressure ratings, and with NPT, butt weld, or socket weld ends. Other end connections are available upon request.
November 3, 2014 – Atlas Copco’s B7-41/1000 Hurricane boosters help drill and service crews achieve high penetration rates with small equipment footprints. The boosters’ small footprints also make them easy to transport between drilling and service sites. Atlas Copco featured the B7-41 Hurricane boosters during the Permian Basin International Oil Show in Odessa, Texas, October 21-23.
Sept. 29, 2014 - BBA Pumps recently launched the new PT150 piston pump for wellpoint dewatering applications. By applying the company’s “lowest cost of ownership” philosophy, and combining this with the global environmental demands, BBA Pumps has succeeded in creating a pump that will set the new standard on fewer emissions and significantly lower operational costs.
September 23, 2014 - New generation SKF Speedi-Sleeves used with radial shaft seals in rotating machinery resolve the micro-cracking issues typically associated with conventional chrome-plated sleeves. These sealing solutions enable users to quickly and efficiently replace worn sealing surfaces without requiring time-consuming and unproductive machine disassembly and subsequent shaft regrinding. SKF Speedi-Sleeves install easily on shafts without using special equipment and can return machinery to service within minutes at a fraction of the cost of traditional shaft reworking.
August 14, 2014 — Conval, a global leader in high-performance valves for the world’s most demanding applications, offers custom-designed, low-cost Whisperjets for gas or liquid pressure reduction, for new or retrofit installations. These simple, practical, long-lasting devices reduce gas or liquid pressure through a series of multi-stage pressure reductions. As a result, there is virtually no part erosion. With gas applications, noise is significantly reduced because orifices on each stage are sized to keep the flow of the gas below critical velocity.
